Motion Campervans Rental Terms & Conditions
Application of Terms
These Rental Terms & Conditions apply to all rental agreements entered into between Motion Campervans (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) and the renter (hereinafter referred to as “the Customer”).
By completing a reservation, the Customer agrees to be bound by these Terms.
Reservation and Contract Formation
A rental contract is deemed concluded when the Company accepts the Customer’s reservation.
The Company may place a security deposit authorization on the Customer’s credit card at the time of booking or vehicle pick-up.
Rental Period
The rental period shall be from the agreed pick-up date and time to the agreed return date and time.
Both the pick-up day and return day are counted as rental days.
Vehicle pick-up and return must be completed during business hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM), unless otherwise approved by the Company.
Cancellation and Reservation Changes
If the Customer cancels or changes a reservation for personal reasons, cancellation fees shall apply based on the number of days prior to the scheduled departure date, as follows:

Free cancellation, or one free date change within 6 months (subject to availability)

20% of the rental fee, or one free date change within 6 months
7–30 days
30% of the rental fee
2–6 days
50% of the rental fee
1 day before departure, same day, or no-show
100% of the rental fee
If a reservation is changed and later cancelled, the above cancellation policy shall apply to the revised booking.
The “rental fee” refers to the base vehicle rental charge only and excludes optional services, insurance fees, and payment processing fees.
Any applicable refund processing or bank transfer fees shall be borne by the Customer.
Insurance Coverage
All rental vehicles are provided with the following basic insurance coverage:

Insurance coverage shall not apply in any of the following cases:
(1) Failure to file a police report
(2) Driving without a valid license
(3) Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
(4) Unauthorized drivers
(5) Violation of laws or these Terms
Deductibles
In the event of an accident or damage, the Customer shall be responsible for the following deductibles:

Vehicle damage deductibles are as follows:
If the vehicle is drivable upon return: ¥100,000
If the vehicle is undrivable or declared a total loss: ¥200,000
Deductibles apply per incident, not per rental period.
Non-Operation Charge – NOC
If the rental vehicle cannot be rented out due to accident or damage, the Customer shall be charged a Non-Operation Charge (NOC) as compensation for loss of use:

The NOC covers business interruption and administrative handling during the repair period.
Security Deposit
A security deposit of ¥200,000 will be pre-authorized on the Customer’s credit card at the time of booking or vehicle pick-up.
The deposit will be fully released once the vehicle is returned and inspected with no damage or outstanding charges.
Optional Insurance Plans
Customers may enroll in optional insurance plans offered by the Company to reduce or waive deductibles and/or NOC charges.
Details and pricing of optional plans will be presented at the time of booking.
Accidents and Emergencies
In the event of an accident, breakdown, or theft, the Customer must immediately contact the police and the Company and follow all instructions provided.
Amendment of Terms
The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions as necessary.
Any changes shall take effect upon publication on the Company’s website.
