Clear, transparent cover. Here is exactly what you pay if something happens — and how to bring it to zero.
Basic Insurance – included with every rental

Not covered: no police report, unlicensed driving, alcohol or drugs, unauthorized drivers, or violation of the rental terms.
What you pay if the van is damaged (Basic)
1. Minor scratches – fixed price, no surprises
Scratches up to 20 cm are settled at a fixed rate. No repair quotes, no waiting, and no Non-Operation Charge.

Measured at the longest point. Several scratches on one panel count as one area. Damage already recorded in your pick-up photos is never charged.
2. Larger damage – capped by the deductible
Dents, damage over 20 cm, glass, lights, tyres or interior are charged at actual repair cost, up to:

The deductible is a cap, not an extra fee. If the repair costs ¥60,000, you pay ¥60,000. Applies per incident.
3. Non-Operation Charge (NOC)
If the van has to go to the workshop and can't be rented out, an NOC covers the lost days:

No NOC on fixed-price scratches. Worst case on Basic with a drivable van: ¥100,000 + ¥50,000 = ¥150,000.

Choose or change your plan up to the day before pick-up. Plans do not cover drunk driving, unlicensed driving, or accidents without a police report.

Transport costs covered up to ¥150,000. Excess costs and personal travel or lodging are not covered.
